Full Session Description (as long as you would like): The San Diego County Library has spent the past eighteen months working to develop and strengthen partnerships with County Jails, with the goal of providing services to incarcerated and re-entering individuals. This session will present our road map for initiating a partnership, ideas for adjusting library services to suit the needs of incarcerated individuals, an overview of successful initiatives we have executed, and plans for future work. Tips on how to advocate for this work to take place in your library will also be shared, and time will be reserved for Q & A.
