This session examines the adaptation of library instruction under rapidly changing conditions. The ideas help to maintain core management principles by modeling future centered service including leadership for novel situations, development of innovative processes and delivery, and adaption of communication modes and practices.

Shifting ideas about the role of libraries in education, rapid technological change, and social and environmental uncertainty create challenges for information literacy programs. Whatever the future holds, the tone and tenor currently surrounding library instruction is groundbreaking.
Shared in this presentation are working ways to maintain core principles of information literacy programs by modeling strategies for future-focused instructional management.
Foremost, this includes leadership practices for careful and responsible management of content, systems, and consituent collaborations in novel situations. In addition, we will look at rapid design methods to revise interactive learning processes in online and hybrid environments. Finally we conclude by looking at ways for developing new modes of communication through shared experience in order to reduce noise in communications between librarians, instructors, administrators, and students.
