https://I work in a facility called a Knowledge Commons, a department within UCT Libraries. My work involves extensive student interaction - assistance with using selected MS Office and other computer software. Training students and staff in the use of UCT Libraries' information resources means often attempting to design training materials around media that appeal to students. I also, therefore, delve into Web 2.0 and related issues in order to better understand today's student. I am also very interested in how libraries can support research at their institutions, particularly at postgraduate level.
