About Me:
Rebecca is the Director of the Leysin American School (LAS) Libraries in Switzerland, a prestigious secondary boarding school serving a student body consisting of more than 80 different nationalities. She received her bachelor of arts degree in English from Penn State University and her masters of science in library science degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In a previous librarian position at LAS, Rebecca was responsible for establishing the school’s new library at the Belle Epoque Campus that supports the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. In addition to her secondary school experience, Rebecca has been working in college and university libraries since 2004, including Penn State University Libraries and Motlow State Community College based in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Her work has focused on emerging technologies, access services, ESL students, and library student workers. In 2014, Rebecca was named an American Library Association Emerging Leader. Prior to joining LAS, she was the director of the Smyrna campus library of Motlow Community College and the Access Services Supervisor at Penn State Abington College.
