About Me:
Director of SLA USA, and she was the scholarship holder of SLA International Conference for consistent 4 years (2020 to 2023) and a receiver of SLA ASIA Information Professional Award 2022. Prof Meenal is known for her dynamic librarianship (Professor - level 14) at MES IMCC’s KRC Pune India and is a dedicated professor of library and information science for the MLiB & BLib programs at MES Pune and also a recognized Ph D guide at SPPU Pune India, her leadership extended to IGNOU Center of MES, India, where she administered more than 3000 diverse learners, the 92 Counsellors of the MBA BTS MTTM MLIS BLIS PGDLAN CLIS CNM BCA and CIT programs as a Center Superintendent & Coordinator (2015 to 2023) and the operational management experience led her to select as the Chairperson CASH IGNOU Maharashtra India (2019 to 2022) . Publications- Prof Meenal is a focused researcher and has written 5 books ( 3 LAP LAMBERT Germany & 2 State texts) and 33 papers published in International and national journals and conference proceedings, and has completed 2 research projects on Library Service Quality Assessment under SPPU Pune India and recognized as a Ph D research guide in Savitribai Phule Pune University where 7 candidates are pursuing their Ph Ds under her guidance. She has been associated with MANLIBNET India since 1998 and as an EC member for more than 10 years, currently involved as an associate. Speaker and Chairperson-She is a sought-after speaker at the SLA Session series and webinars through conducting sessions on Academic Research Integrity, Research Ethics, Plagiarism, Mindfulness, and mental health improvement practices for librarians; she also represented the SLA ASIA Community during the SLA International Conference 2021 through the session conducted on Innovations in Library Services in ASIA and was an invited speaker in 11th ILPS 2023 organized by SLA ASIA, SLA & IFLA at Galgotia University India for the session conduction on measuring the library service Quality and on WLB of women Librarians (2021 by SLA ASIA) and more than 65 sessions conducted as a resource person at the university, state and national level and has been invited as a chairperson for the events and worked as a VC Nominee /nominated subject expert on the University Pannels. She has been nominated as a member, of BOS of Solapur University and also on the MES AGC LIS board. She is a recipient of Best Librarian Award 2022 SPPU India, Innovative Librarian Award MANLIBNET India 2023, Best Teacher Award Rotary (2016) MES (2014) & Lexicon (2021), Best Paper MANLIBNET (2015), Promoter of Association -PULISAA Pune India (1998), Active Participation-MANLIBNET India (2015), Literary Service Award – Marathboli Maharashtra India (2019)
