About Me:
Dr. Nabi Hasan is Deputy Librarian in the IIT Delhi, India and is currently the Joint Secretary of the Asian Library Association and Board Member of the ILA. Earlier he has served as Deputy Librarian and a Post Graduate faculty at Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur (HP), India. He has published 4 Books, compiled 5 bibliographies and has 70 publications. He is on the Editorial Board of 13 reputed Journals of Library and Information Science. Dr. Hasan was the first Borlaug Fellow from India at Cornell University, New York, USA and has implemented ISO 9001/2000 & 2008 Standards and RFID in the Library. He helped his library in winning the “Best Library of the Year Award 2010” and won the “Best Paper Presentation Award 2012” at the International Conference on Knowledge Management and Resource Sharing, Muscat, Oman. He has implemented 3 ICAR Projects on Library Automation, Digitization, Institutional Repositories, Digital Library & Networking. Currently he is taking care of a major digitization project at IIT Delhi. Widely travelled, his area of interest includes RFID applications, eResources Management, Digital Library, Digitization, Institutional Repositories, eBooks, Cloud Computing applications in Libraries and Scientometric studies
