About Me:
I enjoy teaching for APUS in the School of Security and Global Studies teaching Geopolitics, Strategy, International Relations, Foreign Policy, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation classes. I enjoyed working at Thomas University with the library as an Academic Technology Specialist creating an Embedded/Online librarian program. Have been using blackboard collaborate since 2008 and my work at Thomas University earned us an induction into the the Blackboard Collaborate Hall of Fame because we devised an online librarian program that improved the usage of university databases by about 400%. Received the Elluminate Hero 2010 award. I have taught Information literacy, library research and student success courses for UMUC. I have also enjoyed teaching Library Information Organization, Library Research Methods, and Library Collection Management for the FSU graduate Library Science program. Presented at Sloan-C online conference featuring best practices in online teaching, learning, and online librarianship topic: http://www.slideshare.net/beitao1/entertaining-educating-and-elluminatinga-triple-e-teaching-philosophy-in-action
