About Me:

This is my third year as the Library Media Specialist. Previously, I taught five years of fourth grade and eight years of Kindergarten. I received my Masters degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology in December of 2008. I became a certified Library Media Specialist in June of 2009. My passion is teaching through the use of technology. I believe that students should use technology to take their learning to higher levels by using it to investigate, evaluate and synthesize knowledge. I encourage students to use the books and the computers in our media center to learn as much as they can. I also help students publish what they have learned in various formats including podcasts and video. At home I enjoy time with my family. I have two daughters and and a grandson. I also enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities like riding my bike, hiking and kayaking. When I am not outside, I enjoy playing the piano or reading.
