About Me:
I am tasked with managing the University of Michigan Library’s exchange program and overseeing the receipt and physical processing of gifts-in-kind donated to the Library. As gift coordinator, I oversee the workflow of both solicited and unsolicited books (including receipt, storage, cataloging and other physical processing) and coordinate with subject specialists to make accepted gifts discoverable. As exchange coordinator, I serve as liaison to our international partners, ensure the mailing and receipt of scholarly publications, maintain a database of our exchange partners and manage related workflows. Additionally, I am responsible for training and overseeing our unit’s student staff.
I am nearing completion of my coursework as a Masters of Library Science candidate at Wayne State University. I hold degrees in English Literature and Japanese Language and Literature from Western Michigan University. During my time at Western, I participated in study abroad, focusing on Buddhist Studies at Taisho Daigaku in Tokyo.
My pronouns are they/them/theirs.
