My bio:
Fran Kompar is a 25-year veteran of the Library Media and Digital Learning profession. She recently retired from her position as Director of Digital Learning for Wilton Public Schools, Wilton, CT. In this role, Fran has worked on specific strategic improvement goals, most notably, the district’s Portrait of a Graduate which she presented at the Boston RTM Conference. In her new role as an educational consultant, Fran is facilitating a regional workshop series on Reimagining the Library Learning Commons in an Age of AI.
In past years, Fran has been a columnist for Teacher Librarian and the proud recipient of the Connecticut Association for School Librarians (CASL) Administrator of the Year Award (2007) and the 2015 Hilda and John Jay Award from CASL for significant contribution to the Library Media profession at the local, state and national level.
