About Me:
Caterina Valentino is a knowledge broker. Using engaging teaching
methods, she creates learning environments where divergent thinking is
celebrated and harnessed to build on existing knowledge. An avid
life-long learner, Caterina is enthusiastic when she finds innovative
ways to transfer existing knowledge across disciplines. She is a
frequent presenter, both domestically and globally, on her view of
what makes for blockbuster online instruction. Prior to her academic
career, Dr. Valentino held executive positions in the acute,
long-term, and community health care sectors. She was awarded her PhD
from the Institute Health, Policy and Management (University of
Toronto). Her MBA from the Rotman School (University of Toronto) and
her MPA(HAS) (Dalhousie University) round out her academic
credentials. Other credits include certificates from the G. Raymond
Chang School of Continuing Education (Ryerson University) in Long-term
Care Administration, Volunteer and Nonprofit Management, and Training
and Development and Media Writing Fundamentals (Candidate).
