The session on "Using Blogs Effectively Within Your Library" will take place from 14:00-17:00 on Sunday 7th October, 2007.My thoughts on a structure for the workshop are:o Intro - facilitatorso Your interests - what the participants hope to gaino Blogging - an intro: introduction to the key conceptso Why have a blog: group exercise followed by presentation on the various ways libraries are using blogs (based on examples we get from the community)o Deployment strategies:- technical architecture- editorial issues- barriers to deploymento Sustaining blogs- sustainable content- metrics for measuring effectiveness- justifying the ROIo Addressing barriers and problems- barriers to deployment- spam- lack of demand- motivating blog authorso Where to next?- identifying ways of further developing and support the blogging library communityIs this a structure which you feel would relate to the needs of potential participants? What other key topics could be usefully addressed?
