Medical Library Collaborations/Networks - Models?

The statewide health network of Medical Libraries that I belong to is currently undergoing growing pains of running as a collaboration. Whereas in the past each individual library was responsible for it's own budget and resource purchases, this has now changed with the trend towards online statewide access to journals, databases and ebooks delivered via a central portal. Libary 2.0: Its significance to evidence-based medical librarianship

Dear ColleaguesAre there any distinguishing features between a medical librarian and a health sciences librarian? Except for semantics!
