Moving a Collection Off-Site

I have just recently learned that, much to my surprise, the State of Colorado has decided to fund our program plan building request in full rather than in phases. That means that rather than having 12 months to plan for our remodel, I'm not being asked by our facilities folks to consider if we might be able to be moved out of the building by fall semester!! Library Renovation

On April 1, 2008 I will be employed by Mason City Public LIbrary in Mason City, Iowa. MCPL will be undergoing and $9.5 million dollar renovation between now and 2010. The funding is in place and the architectural firm has been chosen. Now comes the task of implementing ideas, wants, needs, desires of Staff, Patrons and Board Members.
