Background

We are glad to inform you that 3^rd International Symposium on “Emerging Trends and Technologies in Libraries and Information Services” will be organized at ‘Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Raghogarh, Distt-Guna (Madhya Pradesh) from 26-27 October, 2012.

Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna was established in the year 2003 with an MOU signed between Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (a not-for-profit trust sponsored by Rs. 15,000 Cr Jaypee Group) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh with an aim of becoming a Center of Excellence in Engineering and Technology. The Government of MP, vide gazette extra ordinary no. 3 of 2010 dated 29th April 2010, has established Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology (JUET), Raghogarh, Guna as a private university in the State of MP under the provisions of MP Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam 2007. Since then the university is imparting engineering education in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, .Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering through its B Tech, M Tech and PhD Programs.

The Theme of the International Symposium ‘Emerging Trends and Technologies in Libraries and Information Services’ the third of its series, previously held in JIIT- Noida (18-20 December, 2008) and JUIT Waknaghat (June 3-5, 2010) is now being organized at JUET campus during 26-27 October, 2012. The theme is quite relevant to the need of current information society where the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has changed the face of traditional library by ever changing interest of the users. The symposium will provide a platform for librarians, information professionals, IT intellectuals to share their ideas in the field of recent activities and applications in Library and Information Services by eminent speakers from International arena and Indian subcontinent in the form of research papers, key note address, poster presentations, and panel discussions.
