This proposal will discuss resources available to all libraries to help bridge the digital divide between the community and the U.S. government by assisting patrons with finding resources that might aid them in disaster planning and help them find relief if they have experienced a disaster. Disasters can include medical, such as the current global pandemic, and natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, and earthquakes, to name a few. The U.S. government provides many avenues of information to find help in these situations, as well as planning for potential disasters in the future. We will bring together many of these resources in one LibGuide and discuss what government information has to offer. Libraries provide an excellent community anchor for finding such resources. Many of the resources are available in multiple languages as well, making it easier to include more groups within the community.
