Full Session Description (as long as you would like): San Diego Public’s Central Library is located in the downtown area known as East Village, which contains one of the greatest concentrations of unhoused people in the city. At the library we are able to bring together a number of services, including Healthcare for the Homeless, Mental Health Services, and peer support. We also provide a field instruction opportunity for students in the MSW program at San Diego State University, with the most recent cohort assisting with a research study on telehealth substance use treatment and services for unstably housed persons using opioids.
