Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Emerging technologies will provide librarians with incredible opportunities to enhance services and resources that are almost beyond our imagination. However, limited budgets will be imaginable! Librarians will need to be knowledgeable about the needs of their communities and new technologies. This session will focus on forecasting methods that librarians can use to plan for acquiring new technologies, and it will showcase some of the people, organizations, and publications that are essential for monitoring technology issues and trends.
