This session will provide a meaningful example, using a free AI resource, to quickly synthesize, responsively and coherently analyze user selected content, from existing relevant resources, to generate in minutes, a useful, meaningful, interactive resource guide.
The innovative free AI resource, has a user- friendly interface. It appears on the landing page, with a user-friendly dashboard interface. It is an easy, accessible view for also uploading many types of digital resources like documents and media files. The view can be changed to inspect and identify the resources. What is interesting are the options for quickly generating new types of AI synthesized content in the format of audio files, summaries, timelines, quizzes and more from the user selected resources. Within ten minutes or less, a completed resource guide can be created, and then edited and optimized. It is immediately ready to use and share. There are a couple of accessibility limitations that will be openly discussed.
The SEL topic, emotional literacy, will be used for demonstration of the Google Notebook AI resource.
The topic of emotional literacy, in a typical public classroom/school setting, it is often notably integrated into reading and writing curriculums. The teacher and often librarian, is sometimes the main facilitator of choosing SEL resources, which are highly likely library books. In brief, SEL areas are usually categorized into specific areas. For example, emotional literacy, an area which often addresses emotions and feelings.
In the past ten years or maybe a little more, there has been a plethora of children's books which are under the umbrella of SEL. These books often introduce and discuss thoughts, feelings and emotions.
There is not a lack of information or resources at this time on this topic, but a lack of time to quickly review relevant resources and to quickly curate and synthesize numerous digital assets effectively, which can, in turn, supplement or optimize the newly created AI content in meaningful ways. This AI resource might be worth exploring to meet that need.
This session will introduce one free AI application from Google, specifically Google Notebook.
Participants will be able to identify the AI resource demonstrated and after attending the session:
- explore this specific AI as a potential, relevant and easy to use free resource to quickly generate a resource guide
- identify and designate useful, and meaningful resources information for AI to capture in digital formats i.e, PDF's, websites.
- identify the basic components and use the dashboard of the Google Notebook model
- download the associated audio file to use as a potential resource on and offline
- share the link to colleagues and associated professionals of choice
